Enrolment

Enrolment procedures

At Woodlands currently have an Enrolment Boundary around the school within which all enrolments will be accepted. Please refer to the boundary map. Enrolments from outside our boundary are also accepted if we have positions available.

Foundation (Prep) Enrolment
Once you’ve decided to enrol your student at Woodlands, you can collect an enrolment form from the Main Office. Alternatively, you can contact us here at school and have one mailed directly to you. Please be aware that you will be required to show proof of residence as our Enrolment Boundary is tightly regulated. You’ll also be required to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunisation history as a part of the enrolment process.

Transition for 2020 Foundation Students
Our extensive transition program commences in Term 4 and transition days are held during November and December. Once your enrolment at Woodlands is confirmed, you will be notified of the transition days.

At these transition sessions, the students will get the chance to spend time with all of Foundation teachers and specialist staff. Parents will also be invited to attend sessions to learn about life as a school parent.

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones for 2020 onwards.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

You can find more information and answers to frequently asked questions on the Department’s website under School zones.
